01The problem
In logistics the first contact with a company is usually a phone on the road — checking the service range or contact details on a small screen and a weak connection. A corporate portal built for an office monitor is useless under those conditions.
02What I built
- Mobile-first design — the desktop layout grew out of the mobile one rather than the other way round.
- An asset budget enforced from the start, so the site opens in under a second away from fibre too.
- Structured data describing the company and its services, so search engines understand what the business is.
- Technical SEO: a correct heading hierarchy, a sitemap and canonical URLs.
03What it does now
- The site opens in under a second on a mobile connection.
- Company and service data are legible to search engines, not only to people.
- Contact is reachable without scrolling at every screen size.
04Why this stack
On a site this size, performance comes down entirely to discipline: how many images, how many scripts, how many fonts. Those are decisions made at the start, because afterwards you cannot get them back without a rewrite.
